i read the trilogy...this book and the second one were such triggers. still, they were definite must-reads and i don't regret reading them. i kept waiting for the part where the mother apologized or something, you know?

I read the trilogy too. I just can't believe that something like that can happen here in America. I've been so naive about people my entire life. I agree about waiting for the mother to apologize. Seriously, I just don't see how a mother could do that.
