Yes, it is a Boston Cream Pie. But not just any Boston Cream Pie. I've had plenty in my lifetime. This is a Boston Cream Pie from Nick's, a local butcher/deli/bakery. I have never tasted anything like this pie. I thought they had stopped making them. I haven't seen one in their store since last Fall. When I saw it sitting there the other day when I stopped in for my meats, I had to buy it. It's just as good as it looks. Actually, it's better. I think I need to go have a piece.
Oh wow, that came from Nick's? My dad loves Boston Cream Pie. I think I'm going to have to try to get him one from there next time. Time for a road trip to Southern Maryland I guess! BJs makes a good one too, but that one does look wonderful!
I've never had Boston Cream Pie (I know... I live a sheltered life). But maybe it's a seasonal pie for Nick's the local butcher/deli/bakery. It is Fall again ya know. :)
