It was all a prank, I didn't really forget

Ok, ok, I did. It's all Steve's fault for giving me my anniversary gift like a week and a half early. And it's also the dumb fault of whoever came up with that traditional anniversary list crap. Sure, easy for Steve, a purse. Steve is hard to buy for (otherwise known as picky). I just couldn't think of anything leather. Ok, I could, everytime I tried to think of something leather, all I could think of was a whip. So I would laugh and make a mental note to be serious and think of something good for him later.

So 1am last night, I say to my husband, 'Guess what today is?". I honestly am not sure what day I was going to tell him it was, but when he said, "Our anniversary?" I just about fell over with embarrassment! I had totally forgotton. Like, never bought him a gift or card or anything.

I could plead my case, we have no plans this year, so much other stuff going on, blah, blah, blah. I have no excuse. Luckily he is a very understanding and forgiving guy (helps that I have promised to make it up to him later). He's let me off the hook completely. Just remind me of that when he forgets my birthday!
