Sure, I've been sick for a week and a half now with a cold that is holding on like a pit bull. And swine flu has hit the kids' school (not my kids luckily). But there are the graces in life that make it all ok.
Like a husband that snuggles with me every night, doesn't complain when I'm still under the weather, and is going to bring me home a cheesesteak for dinner or a good hair day when I am still struggling to come to grips with the fact that I cut all my hair off. (Also helps the lead alien on V is a brunette that's rocking the pixie cut.) Or realizing I have all the ingredients to make Cranberry Almond Biscotti and having it turn out so deliciously.
Nothing like the grace of a warm cozy sweater on a beautiful Autumn day and the smell of biscotti baking in the oven. Or the grace of a silly fuzzy chinchilla that begs for my attention every time I walk by the cage. A 15 year old son that will still give me bear hugs and 14 year old daughter that will still curl up on the couch next to me and lay her head on my shoulder when she isn't feeling well. New music that warms my heart and brightens my day.
Sure, I have a lot I could complain about, but so much more that God has blessed me with. And that's what I choose to do today.
*I realize this post is a complete mess as far as punctuation and grammar. I am hoping God would give me the grace of an editor to fix it. (I'm looking at you, Cori.) ;-)

This is good. Totally goes along with a sermon preached at our church recently where they mention that verse in 1 Thess 5 - doesn't say "give thanks FOR all things" but "IN all things, give thanks". That has really hit me hard and I'm definitely trying to spend more time thanking God for His blessings instead of focusing on the negative.
On another note, Colloidal Silver is so awesome when you're sick because it actually neuters the bacteria/virus so that they can't reproduce so it actually speeds up the healing process. Jim and I and the kids take it daily and we've definitely seen huge improvement in our health!
