Look out Betty Crocker
I don't know what in the world has gotten into me. I've been baking cookies from scratch for two days now. This is weird. I don't bake cookies from scratch. I buy the cookie dough that you "break and bake". Better yet, I buy a bag of those yummy Pepperidge Farm cookies. I am not a baker. I didn't even bake cookies at Christmas time. I know, I know, beat me about the head with a wooden spoon. My poor kids! Actually, my sister and mother made them with the kids. Anywa, I love to make soups and dinner entrees and casseroles, but I'm just not big on making desserts from scratch.
Yesterday, it was Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies. I also made a special batch for me. I added pecans and cranberries. I also discovered that using real sweet cream salted butter makes all the difference in the world. These cookies are melt in your mouth good. These cookies are the devil.
Today, I whipped up some chocolate krinkles. This recipe even called for unsweetened baking chocolate. That is some serious baking people. These cookies are also the devil.
That my friends, is just a small sampling of the cookies I baked. I even placed them on my favorite plate. I only have one plate like that. It was here when I moved in and I love it. I have 78 chocolate krinkles (It was 80, but I had to test for quality control purposes.), not exactly sure of the other, I'm thinking around 4 dozen are left of the others.
Anyone want to join me for tea and cookies?

I love cookie baking. Try PB cookies, makes 2 dozen - 1 cup Peanut Butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 egg. Use mixer to mix. roll into balls. use a fork to do criss cross on top. Bake in oven at 350 for 7-10 minutes.
Delicious. you can add chooclate chips and skip the criss crossing, but i prefered them plain.
