The worst blog entry ever

I don't know why I felt the need to explain my pet purchases over the span of the last 3 years last night. I apologize for such a boring run down entry. I was about halfway through the post when I realized it was long and boring but I had put so much time and effort, I couldn't stop myself. I can't even claim that I was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when I made such a bad decision. Nope, just me and my very sober brain.

I suppose I could blame it on exhaustion from cleaning our church and eating 4 slices of pizza, a bag of popcorn, an ice cream sandwich AND a rice krispie treat. All the blood was flowing to my stomach to aid in digestion, so my brain was starved and out popped a ridiculously long entry about my animals. Yup, that my story. Can't have you all thinking I'm one of the most boring bloggers on Vox. I'll end up in a corner by myself whenever we have a DC meetup, while people, think, "Yeah, see her over there. She's the weird chinchilla lady."

Oh, and thank you Esther, for being so nice and having pity on me and posting a sweet comment.

Don't sell yourself short - if there is ever a DC Vox meet-up, you'll be the one I'll be hoping to meet. I read your post and didn't find it boring. I had no idea they sold rabbits at fairs.

So, animals are your passion - so what! I thought it was a cute entry, even if it was a bit long (and it had pictures...pictures are good). It was neat - to me - to read something that I know came from the Janie I've known since I was 5 1/2. That was all you - something that you love that goes back to seeing you gather up every stinkin' cat on Suzanne's farm and try to hold them all in your arms at the same time. :-)

lol, i hadn't read it yet either but i got an idea! next time you want to post about pet purchases, go ahead and title it, "I'M FEELING SEXY TODAY" and go on about how when you feel sexy, you like to buy pets...;) i dunno...sex sells! LOL i'm going to go and read it now janie :) hugs!

I've had that happen - you start out with what you think is a terrific post and somewhere along the lines you are thinking - "Uh oh" - and then you don't want to stop. I actually stopped one the other day that was just so sadly out of control that you would think I had forgotten my meds or something (hey, wait - I don't take meds, so that wasn't it... hmm).

I actually LOVED the animal post! Of course, I love animals too...just not in THAT way! I'm pretty sure I have you beat on the long and boring posts already though, sorry!

You're too funny -- I don't think there's a rule that every blog post has to be funny, or exciting or thought-provoking... so don't be hard on yourself. Also, I think its good to have "regular" stuff -- b/c you never know what's going to strike a chord in your neighborhood.
