Things I'm lovin'

Steak Stir Fry for dinner (Had a plethora of steak leftover from the weekend)
Kids happy and playing in the pool
Good books (I started A Great and Terrible Beauty and it's good so far. Thanks Kelly!)
Weekend visits from Vox friends
Whole Foods Organic Caramel Truffles (seriously, you must go buy some, like now, right now)
Stacy's Parmesan Garlic and Herb Pita Chips (I'm addicted. Should've sent them home with Hannah.)
Dinner and a movie in Alexandria with Steve and the 3 kids that are home (Irish food and Wall-E)
Weezer's most recent album (Still enjoying the heck out of it!)
Life being close to normal after weeks as a kidless couple
My husband (He turned to me and smiled last night at the movies and I swear I felt all giddy like a school girl. We still sleep all cuddled up at night too. After 4 years. It's crazy. And he's perfect.)

Things I'm loathin'

Nothing much right now. I've decided I'm not going to stress about the upcoming school year and all the supplies and crap I need to do til August. So the rest of July is going to be stress-free!

Things I'm not liking

Not being able to sleep. Seriously, I used to be able to guzzle coffee at midnight and sleep. Now, I drink green tea past 4pm and I'm up all night.
The pile of laundry that needs to be sorted and folded in the laundry room. Just make it go away!!!
The huge zit on my left cheek.

Things I'm loving

Naptime is an option
Finally transferrring all new music from the last six months from Steve's iPod to my iTunes library.
Singstar for PS3, Steve and I played til we got busted by a friend of ours that dropped by.
Mahi Mahi for dinner last night
Weezer and Coldplay's new albums
New clothes and shoes, I don't have the shoes yet, but Steve told me to go find some to match my new dress. Not gonna argue with that!

Things I loathe

Business trips (when I don't get to go with Steve!)
laundry
sorting through the clothes to get rid of outgrown or out of season clothes
laundry
cleaning the garage
pool motors that go up right when your husband is leaving for a business trip
going to bed by myself

Things I love

Clean laundry rooms
being able to walk through my garage with relative ease
having a brother in law that will come over to attempt to replace the pool motor so the pool can be ready this weekend
3 days left of school and no homework left!

weekend get togethers with my family
bedtime

Waking up late and having to take a cold shower due to poor shower scheduling
Messy kitchens
Homework time after school
Laundry
Reading Treasure Island outloud for hours (and summarizing) because of inadequate teaching
People who talk the talk, but don't walk the walk
Spending 5 1/2 hours of my Saturday in a car dealership

Things I love

A husband that keeps himself in shape for me
Breakfast and coffee with friends
My new shiny black minivan (I got to pick this one out all by myself!)
Naming my new shiny black minivan (Victoria gave it the best name a minivan has ever had)
87% dark chocolate
Breakfast by the pound at McKay's, a small local grocery store (french toast and scrapple for $.84, mmmmm)
My special mix CD Steve made, each song handpicked for me
Handwritten notes
Egg salad sandwiches
Clean kitchens
Seeing my teenagers studying together for an upcoming test
Driving with the moonroof open and my windows down
Baseball caps and ponytails when you don't have time to do your hair
Baby bunnies and baby cockatiels (not mine, but I got to look at them)
Reading funny cards and laughing with Victoria
Kids that not only can behave in a restaurant, but in a car dealership for 5 1/2 hours (Seriously, they deserve an award.)

Lying
Uncertainty
Having to put air in my tires
Steve being sick with the stomach flu and me not being able to make him feel better
Daylight savings time
Getting up when it's really dark

Steve getting home from work earlier
Good friends
Coffee and breakfast with friends
Free air at the gas station (seriously, some places charge $.75)
Leftovers for dinner
Biscotti with my coffee
Sweet Potato Chips (yes, I'm still stuck on them)
Knowing God is in control and has a plan
The clearance racks at Kohl's ($2.40 tees for the girls!)
My statcounter (go ahead, google "rabbits and chinchillas", "ugly outfit friday", or "best pie ever" and see who's blog comes up in the top 10)

Things I loathe:

petty arguments between the children
forgotten book bags
sick kitty cats (my sister in law's sweet little cat is sick)
meetings after work (for Steve not me)

Things I love:

Scrapple and French Toast for breakfast
Getting up at 5am and smelling the coffee brewing (Yay for the "delay brew" setting!)
Steve going to work earlier, which means he gets to come home earlier
Coffee and breakfast with friends
$.50 books at the Thrift Store
Finding gas $.07 cheaper than every other gas station
Coming home to a cute little bird stuck in the house (I realize this might freak out most people, but it was such a cute bird)
Pot Pie made from leftover pork roast (I stole some ideas from Jamie, the ones I could with what was available in my kitchen. I doubt it would win in a head to head contest with her pot pie, but it was good in it's own way.)
Warm weather
Thunderstorms
Terra Sweet Potato Chips
