In honor of Johnny Appleseed Day, show us a tree.

We have this holly tree in our front yard. Last summer, I noticed this very strange pattern on the trunk. I chalked it up to some strange tree disease. I tried to google it to no avail. Then back in January, Alex noticed a red headed bird in the tree....

If you look at the tree, you can see what the woodpecker was doing! He was the one that made all those other marks on the tree. He's actually made a lot more progress since I took this picture. Crazy woodpecker! I'm glad it wasn't a creepy tree disease, but it still looks weird.

The person the left is my favorite artist. Seriously, I'm not saying that just because he's my husband or because he took me to lunch or because he bought me a new dress today or because he actually braved grocery shopping with me yesterday or because he puts up with my insane ramblings on a regular basis. Nope, he really is a great artist. Now if only we could make some decent money off of him.

Steve and I retiled the top of this table after the original tile broke up over the winter. I love this project because it represents hours and hours that we worked together, just enjoying each other's company. I would go take a picture of the finished table, but it's raining out right now. And I'm just not into standing in the cold rain.  

How are you spending New Year's Eve?

So far, we've been playing SingStar. It's 1:49am and this party is just getting started! We have all day tomorrow too!

What's your favorite game to play?

Um,  do I even need to answer this? Scrabulous! Although, Oregon Trail comes in a close second, but only when Kelly isn't stealing all my stuff and leaving me to starve to death.

So far it has included a ridiculous amount of leftovers, Moulin Rouge, and my sister and I bursting into spontaneous song (My Favorite Things from Sound of Music).

Show us your idea of the perfect Sunday.

My idea of the perfect Sunday would be all day in my fluffy ridiculously comfortable bed. Instead I am surrounded by four screaming men and one huge television. Not very conducive to napping.
